Timing unclear for pending Commerce ICT supply-chain security rule

Release of the Commerce Department's anxiously awaited rule on ICT supply-chain security may drift past the Oct. 12 deadline set in President Trump's May 15 executive order -- at least until after the three-day Columbus Day weekend -- as department officials continue to absorb interagency input on the plan, according to multiple sources.
