Think tank calls for national industrial strategy bolstering technology, other sectors against China challenge

The Information Technology and Innovation Foundation is urging policymakers crafting COVID-19 related stimulus measures to be forward-looking and consider a national industrial strategy that would support the U.S. tech and other sectors, amid an intense ongoing challenge from China.

“Even before this pandemic, China posed an unprecedented competitiveness challenge in the advanced industries that are most critical to America’s economic wellbeing and national security,” ITIF president and report author Robert Atkinson said.
