Texas official: Planning, collaboration enabled successful response to ransomware attack

The Texas government's successful response to a ransomware attack last summer was the result of extensive planning, enactment of state cyber laws and collaboration with federal and other partners, according to Amanda Crawford, a senior cybersecurity official in Texas, describing efforts that could provide a playbook for organizations across the country.
