Telecom giant NTT reports on a growing, diversifying cyber threat landscape

Reports of software vulnerabilities reached an all-time high in 2021, according to the annual Global Threat Intelligence Report from major telecom company NTT, while attacks doubled in key sectors including telecom and technology.

The report, released June 6, delved into 2021 cyber attack data collected and analyzed by the company. Vulnerability disclosures were the highest ever in 2021, NTT reported. It tallied 21,957 disclosures during the year, equating to a new vulnerability registered every 24 minutes.
