Tech sector cites need for incident reporting flexibility, law enforcement exemptions in SEC cyber rule

Technology groups are urging the Securities and Exchange Commission to include law enforcement safe harbors and avoid “premature disclosure” of cyber incidents in follow-up comments to the SEC on its proposed cybersecurity rule, a regulatory initiative that has generated opposition from numerous industry sectors.
