State utility regulators release cyber best practices guide for electric power systems

The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners has released a guide to aid international partners as well as state officials in crafting rules that enhance the cybersecurity of electric power systems.

The guide is based on a literature review funded by the United States Agency for International Development. The document was developed for countries in Europe and Eurasia, and NARUC also sees opportunities for state public utility commissions to use the guide “within their own contexts and environments.”
