State Department cyber chief calls for 'accelerated' norms promotion to boost deterrence

The State Department's coordinator on cyber issues, Christopher Painter, said the new administration should “accelerate” the process for the expanded use of international norms in cyberspace, as part of efforts to strengthen the nation's cyber deterrence posture.
