Standards for cyber certification program under Defense Dept. to change as maturity model adapts

The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body is developing standards for assessment that are adaptive to changes made to “source documents” coming from the Defense Department, according to CMMC AB board member Regan Edens.

“As we operationalize the standard, the source documents are going to change,” Edens said of the CMMC model developed by the Pentagon, during a recorded webinar from the accreditation body posted on Thursday. Edens is the chair of the CMMC AB’s standards committee.
