Staff: Thune, Peters still seeking ways to pass self-driving car bill before lame-duck session ends

Commerce Chairman John Thune (R-SD) and Sen. Gary Peters (D-MI) are continuing to “work to pass” their legislation on self-driving car safety and security standards “by the end of the year,” although their chances of success appear slim as several Senate Democrats are still blocking the measure over various issues.
