Solarium staff: State Dept. needs authority, resources to lead global effort on cybersecurity

Bolstering State Department authority and resources is essential to cyber deterrence efforts and ensuring the U.S. leads in international standards-setting organizations, but a key Cyberspace Solarium Commission recommendation on this point could be sidetracked by bureaucratic and jurisdictional disagreements.
