Solarium staff leaders: Pandemic highlights needs for consistent state cyber funding, new steps on IoT security

The COVID-19 crisis underscores an urgent need to provide both immediate and long-term funding assistance for state and local cybersecurity efforts, while the massive shift to remote-work environments puts new emphasis on the need for mandatory security standards for Internet of Things devices, Cyberspace Solarium Commission staff leaders said today.
