Software transparency working group leader defends NTIA effort against naysayers

Greater adoption of a Software Bill of Materials -- a list of “components” comprising suppliers’ source code -- is not a solution in itself, but an important part of the cybersecurity long game, according to the co-chair of a working group trying to standardize software transparency efforts at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration.
