Sens. Warner, Thune introduce legislation to improve drone cybersecurity for federal agencies
Senate Intelligence Chairman Mark Warner (D-VA) and Sen. John Thune (R-SD) have introduced legislation directing the National Institute of Standards and Technology to develop cyber guidelines for federal use of drones.
“Drones and unmanned systems have the capability to transform the way we do business, manage our infrastructure, and deliver life-saving medicine, and as drones become a larger part of our society, it’s crucial that we ensure their safety and security,” Warner said in a Wednesday announcement.
