Senators seek appropriate enforcers of cybersecurity standards for vulnerable natural gas pipelines

A key electricity industry leader is asserting the effectiveness of mandatory standards for protecting the electric grid from cyber attacks, while jurisdictional and other uncertainties linger over efforts to impose similar requirements on natural gas pipelines, the vulnerability of which was recently highlighted in a Government Accountability Office report.
