Senators reach deal on pathway to passage for China-focused ‘innovation act’ carrying cyber response fund

Senate leaders have reached agreement on a process for wrapping up work on the U.S. Competition and Innovation Act, a bipartisan measure aimed at bolstering U.S. technology and countering Chinese advances in tech, that includes a new cyber incident recovery fund and other cybersecurity measures produced by the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
