Senate GOP, Democrats offer varying privacy bills as bipartisan talks continue

Senate Republicans and Democrats are offering countering proposals for a national data privacy and security standard, as the Commerce Committee holds a hearing today where varying approaches to protecting online consumer information will be discussed.
