Senate confirms Davidson to lead Commerce Dept. telecom agency

The Senate has confirmed Alan Davidson in a 60-31 vote for administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, an agency that will play a critical role in the rollout of billions of dollars for broadband development and potentially could be a larger voice on U.S. participation in international standards bodies.
