Senate Commerce Republicans take aim at potential TSA reporting and security rules for transportation sector

Senate Commerce ranking member Roger Wicker (R-MS) and senior GOP members of the panel are urging the Transportation Security Administration to collaborate with rail, transit and aviation operators rather than impose new requirements under emergency powers, citing potential “unintended consequences” to a series of TSA regulatory moves initiated after the Colonial Pipeline ransomware incident.
