Senate Commerce panel discusses challenges for ICT supply chain, semiconductor shortage

The Senate Commerce Committee is considering next steps on supply chain security issues following the full Senate’s recent passage of the U.S. Innovation and Competition Act, and heard from information technology and other industry leaders on their priorities during a hearing Thursday.

The Senate passed the USICA in June and the House is starting to work on its own legislation to address supply chain issues through investments in the National Science Foundation and initiatives at the Department of Energy....
