Senate Commerce approves Locascio for NIST director; FCC nominee Rosenworcel backs net neutrality

The Senate Commerce Committee has approved the nomination of Laurie Locascio to become director of NIST and Under Secretary of Commerce for Standards and Technology, and heard from Jessica Rosenworcel, President Biden’s pick for FCC permanent chairwoman, on her views on net neutrality and other broadband issues at her confirmation hearing.
