Senate Commerce advances Roth nomination to lead NTIA as next administrator

The Senate Commerce Committee has advanced in a 16-12 vote the nomination of Arielle Roth to serve as the next administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration.

Chairman Ted Cruz (R-TX) at an April 9 executive session praised Roth’s expertise on communications issues as the committee’s current policy director for telecommunications and a former Federal Communications Commission official.
