Sen. Warner praises voluntary cyber guidance for health sector, eyes potential regulations

Senate Intelligence Chairman Mark Warner (D-VA) is praising new cyber guidance prepared by federal health sector regulators and industry partners, while noting that he is continuing to weigh “which voluntary measures” should be set as mandatory cybersecurity requirements.

The Department of Health and Human Services on Wednesday released a “cybersecurity framework implementation guide” developed alongside healthcare sector partners, NIST and other federal agencies.
