Sen. Warner looks to bring industry onboard for ‘limited’ mandatory cyber incident reporting with liability protection

Senate Intelligence Chairman Mark Warner (D-VA) says the SolarWinds hack has “accelerated the timetable” for moving beyond a strictly voluntary information-sharing system between industry and government, while stressing that a targeted incident-reporting requirement can be crafted in a way that he believes will garner support from the business community.
