Secretary Nielsen says creation of cyber agency bolsters DHS' interagency standing

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen today said rebranding the department’s cyber arm would put DHS on equal footing with other federal entities working in the same policy space and better position the office for interacting with the private sector and international partners, while calling for Congress to pass a bill before the end of the year. 

“This administration is replacing complacency with consequences, but there is a roadblock preventing us from getting us where we need to be,” Nielsen said...
