Reps. Hurd and Kelly, Sens. Gardner and Warner to reintroduce IoT security bill today

AUSTIN. Sens. Mark Warner (D-VA) and Cory Gardner (R-CO), along with Reps. Robin Kelly (D-IL) and Will Hurd (R-TX) will reintroduce Senate and House versions of legislation today that would require “basic cybersecurity standards” to be part of government-purchased Internet of Things devices, as Hurd continues to work toward separately releasing legislation on to create a “national strategy” around artificial intelligence.
