Rep. Luetkemeyer reiterates commitment to advancing breach-notice bill

Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-MO) says he's not yet ready to introduce a data security and breach notification bill, but asserted that draft legislation he has cosponsored with Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) will move through the Financial Services Committee in the coming months.

“My job is to get a bill through my committee and I'm going to get that done,” Luetkemeyer, chairman of the Financial Services financial institutions and consumer credit subcommittee, told Inside Cybersecurity.
