Rep. Hurd stresses need to get ‘ahead of the curve’ on security of AI, quantum computing

House Oversight IT subcommittee Chairman Will Hurd (R-TX) says the federal government’s procurement processes need to move more quickly to ensure the government is adopting artificial intelligence and quantum computing technologies -- before adversaries do and can leverage it to conduct cyber attacks.

“We’ve got to stay ahead of the curve on next generation technology,” Hurd said at the Billington CyberSecurity Summit in Washington on Wednesday.
