Recommendations on IoT security baselines coming in May, say leaders of telecom-tech alliance

Industry leaders working to build trust in the emerging Internet of Things are aiming to craft recommendations by May for a NIST-led effort on IoT “baseline security” that they say is bound to result in the “prohibition” of default passwords for remote root access to such devices.
