Privacy framework offers defense against lawsuits, according to panelists at NIST workshop

ATLANTA. The privacy framework being developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology will provide companies with a legal defense against enforcement and other lawsuits triggered by an array of emerging regulatory requirements, according to panelists here Monday at NIST's workshop on drafting the privacy document.
