Privacy concerns may drive security requirements amid shifting political landscape

Recent events -- mainly implementation of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation and passage of California’s Consumer Privacy Act -- are putting privacy at the forefront of the debate over global information management, and could ultimately result in first-time U.S. standards for security.
