Privacy advocates urge FTC to halt research using Facebook user data, citing GDPR violations

The Electronic Privacy Information Center is calling on the Federal Trade Commission and European Union regulators to block research being proposed based on Facebook user data, an effort that comes as the social media giant faces congressional scrutiny and as the European Union begins enforcing strict data controls cited by the privacy group.
