Ponemon finds use of encryption varies across countries, with IoT as major driver

The use of encryption to protect data varies among more than a dozen countries in Europe and Asia and the United States, according to a “trends” report by the Ponemon Institute which found that the emerging Internet of Things was a major influence for encoding information and messages.
