Pentagon science advisors offer three-part strategy in countering cyber threats

A Defense Science Board study is recommending a three-pronged strategy to improve the complex "system of systems" amid "deep concerns" about vulnerabilities to cyber threats and electronic warfare attack from both state and non-state actors, among other concerns raised by Pentagon officials several years ago and being addressed now by the advisory body.

On Dec. 31, the Pentagon made public a brief summary of the board's findings, which are detailed in a classified report.
