Pai and Rosenworcel offer senators different takes on FCC security efforts

Chairman Ajit Pai touted security efforts at the Federal Communications Commission during an appearance Wednesday before the Senate Commerce Committee, while Democratic commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel told senators that the FCC has dangerously stepped back on privacy and security issues.

Senate Commerce Chairman Roger Wicker (R-MS) in his opening statement at the oversight hearing pointed to the bipartisan United States 5G Leadership Act that he sponsored with Sens. Tom Cotton (R-AR), Mark Warner (D-VA), Ed Markey (D-MA) and Dan Sullivan (R-AK)....
