Outlook for 2021: NIST IoT deadlines, defense contracts featuring CMMC, Commerce’s 5G strategy planning

Federal agencies in the new year are expected to continue work on a number of programs important to the cybersecurity community, including an Internet of Things initiative at NIST, Commerce Department-led implementation of a national 5G strategy and activities at the FCC around its rip-and-replace program targeting potentially risky Chinese telecom equipment.
