Opposition to T-Mobile-Sprint merger, new electric sector concerns add momentum to anti-Huawei-ZTE push

The bipartisan alliance on banning certain Chinese equipment manufacturers from the supply chain for critical infrastructure was bolstered Monday, as security professionals and policy makers highlighted cybersecurity threats posed by the proposed merger of telecom carriers Sprint and T-Mobile and, separately, raised alarms about the presence of Huawei equipment in U.S. electrical systems.
