One year later, contributions of cyber commission report seen in Trump botnet, other efforts

One year ago, the Commission on Enhancing National Cybersecurity released a landmark package of recommendations for the incoming Trump administration that focused on developing a strategy to defeat botnet attacks, expand use of the federal framework of cyber standards and bolster the cyber workforce, among other issues.

It wasn't clear that the Trump White House would embrace recommendations made by President Obama's commission, but in fact, the report did find a welcome audience within the new president's cyber team.
