ONCD budget official sees path forward for simultaneously addressing zero trust, post-quantum cryptography

The ongoing zero trust transition offers a potential mechanism to address federal agency needs for the post-quantum cryptography migration, according to the Office of the National Cyber Director’s Dylan Presman.

“Quantum readiness and zero trust are not contradictory. They’re actually the same thing,” Presman, ONCD’s director for budget and assessment, said in a Thursday webinar on PQC migration hosted by Venable.
