OMB enters second stage of zero trust journey for agencies to bolster network security needs

The Office of Management and Budget is moving into the next phase of executing President Biden’s mandate for the federal government to adopt a zero trust architecture, as a three-year process for agencies to meet specific goals comes to a close.

OMB’s zero trust strategy directed federal civilian agencies “to meet specific cybersecurity standards and objectives by the end of Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 in order to reinforce the Government’s defenses against increasingly sophisticated and persistent threat campaigns.”
