NTIA vows to develop 'consensus' documents on IoT security patching

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration is urging participants of a “multistakeholder” process on securing the Internet of Things to work on developing “consensus” guidance documents aimed at helping IoT manufacturers better secure devices and help consumers better understand the cybersecurity features of the products they purchase.
