NIST seeks input on draft community profile outlining genomic data cybersecurity, privacy considerations

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has released a draft community profile for genomic data risks based on the cybersecurity and privacy frameworks, alongside a white paper with threat modeling guidance.

“Draft NIST Internal Report (IR) 8467, Genomic Data Cybersecurity and Privacy Frameworks Community Profile (Genomic Data Profile), provides a structured, risk-based approach for managing both cybersecurity and privacy risks in processing genomic data,” NIST said in a Monday announcement.
