NIST seeks comment on practice guide for securing industrial IoT, focused on ‘distributed energy resources’
A draft practice guide from the National Institute of Standards and Technology aims to help companies secure so-called “distributed energy resources,” which can include solar and wind assets, that rely on Industrial Internet of Things technologies with potential cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
The preliminary draft of NIST SP 1800-32, “Securing the Industrial Internet of Things: Cybersecurity for Distributed Energy Resources,” was released Tuesday and is open for comment until May 24.
