NIST report aims to address authentication ‘crisis’ stoked by password shortcomings, emerging technologies

NIST has released a draft report “analyzing existing methods, tools, and techniques” around authentication, as the agency looks to establish an “ontology of authentication” that can help organizations with identity management amid myriad requirements and emerging security challenges.
