NIST releases cyber profile for positioning, navigation and timing services critical to GPS

Following up on a February executive order, NIST has released a draft cybersecurity profile for so-called PNT services that undergird global positioning and other tools essential to critical infrastructure operators.

The draft NISTIR 8323, “Cybersecurity Profile for the Responsible Use of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Services,” was posted Thursday and will be open for comment until Nov. 23.
