NIST releases ‘manufacturing profile’ under revised cybersecurity framework

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has released a cyber “profile” for manufacturers mapped to the framework of cybersecurity standards update issued in 2018, with added guidance in areas like supply chain, self-assessments, and vulnerability disclosure that reflect the rapid pace of change in the cyber domain.

“Additional changes include updating language to change references from ‘security levels’ to ‘impact levels,’” according to NIST.
