NIST offers for comment updated version of guidance on secure ‘remote patient monitoring’

NIST has opened a 30-day comment period on its “telehealth” security guide for “remote patient monitoring,” which leverages elements from the agency’s risk management, cybersecurity and privacy frameworks and could be particularly useful in addressing remote-access security issues accentuated by both the COVID-19 pandemic and the burgeoning of Internet of Things devices.
