NIST offers for comment draft update to foundational document on engineering secure systems

The National Institute of Standards and Technology is proposing an update to one of its foundational security guidances, Special Publication 800-160, in which the agency addresses “considerations for the engineering-driven actions necessary to develop defensible and survivable systems” in accordance with President Biden’s 2021 executive order on shoring up the cybersecurity of the federal government.
