NIST launches project on addressing cybersecurity risk in telehealth

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has released for comment a draft project description for a new initiative on cybersecurity related to telehealth and use of Internet of Things devices.

“Mitigating Cybersecurity Risk in Telehealth Smart Home Integration” is intended to “result in a practice guide that describes a reference architecture for smart home integration with healthcare systems as part of a telehealth program,” according to the Aug. 31 announcement from NIST’s National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence.
