NIST joins industry-led standards organization dedicated to promoting open access networks for 5G

The National Institute of Standards and Technology is increasing its engagement with the Open Radio Access Network community through joining the O-RAN Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing industry-led standards and testing out implementations for further adoption.
