NIST issues guidance on securing corporate mobile devices, seeks comment on guide for home IoT devices

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has released guidance for securing corporate-owned mobile devices, and separately issued for comment a guide on securing home Internet of Things devices by using “Manufacturer Usage Description,” or MUD.

NIST on Wednesday published the final version of Special Publication 1800-21, “Mobile Device Security: Corporate-Owned Personally Enabled,” demonstrating “how organizations can use standards-based, commercially available products to help meet their mobile device security and privacy needs.”
